In two years a plant will be built in Canada for the production of such vehicles. It is expected to produce 350,000 cars per year.
Specialists of the Technical University of Munich remade some models of BMW for pure hydrogen usage. Liquefied hydrogen is stored in the car in a cryogenic tank. A hydrogen filling station is also built. The feature of this car is an injection of pure hydrogen under pressure of 300 atmospheres directly into the engine cylinder. Hydrogen is planned to be carried by ships from Canada. There is a small-scale production of BMW-750NL in Germany. Its engine does not consume gasoline but compressed hydrogen. Thus, BMW is the first company in the world producing cars with hydrogen engines.
